Terms of Service

Overview

This website is operated by Ripley’s Tabletop Forge. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Ripley’s Tabletop Forge.

By visiting our website and/or purchasing something from us, you agree to these Terms of Service.

Please read these terms carefully before using our website or placing an order.

Nothing in these Terms of Service affects your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

1. Our Products

Ripley’s Tabletop Forge supplies 3D-printed miniatures, models, terrain and related tabletop products.

Unless otherwise stated, our 3D-printed miniatures are supplied unpainted and may require minor preparation before painting or assembly.

Product photographs may show painted or assembled examples for display purposes. Please check individual product descriptions for details of what is included with your purchase.

2. 3D-Printed Products

Due to the manufacturing process, 3D-printed products may have minor variations between individual prints.

These can include small support marks, minor layer lines, slight surface variations or other characteristics normally associated with 3D printing.

These variations do not necessarily constitute a fault where they do not materially affect the appearance, quality or intended use of the product.

We inspect and prepare our products before dispatch and aim to provide miniatures of a consistently high standard.

3. Resin Miniatures

Resin miniatures can contain thin or delicate components and should be handled with appropriate care.

Once received, damage caused by accidental breakage, dropping, improper handling, inappropriate storage, modification or misuse is not considered a manufacturing defect.

This does not affect your rights where a product was faulty or damaged when supplied.

4. Product Images and Scale

We make every reasonable effort to represent our products accurately.

Colours may vary depending on photography, lighting and your device's display.

Miniature dimensions and scales are approximate unless specifically stated otherwise. Because models are digitally produced and printed, small variations may occur.

Where bases or accessories are shown in photographs, they are only included where stated in the product description.

5. Orders

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the products in your basket.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • an obvious pricing or listing error has occurred;

  • payment cannot be authorised;

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity; or

  • we are unable to fulfil the order.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, the appropriate amount will be refunded.

6. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in the currency shown on our website and include applicable taxes where required.

Delivery charges, where applicable, will be displayed during checkout before you complete your purchase.

We may change our prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders that have already been accepted except where permitted by law.

7. Discount Codes and Promotions

Discount codes are subject to any conditions stated when they are issued.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • discount codes cannot be exchanged for cash;

  • discounts cannot be applied retrospectively to completed orders;

  • only one discount code may be used per order where Shopify or the terms of the promotion prevent discounts being combined; and

  • promotional offers may be changed or withdrawn at our discretion before an order is placed.

We reserve the right to cancel or refuse the use of a discount where we reasonably believe it has been obtained, distributed or used fraudulently or contrary to the conditions of the promotion.

Your statutory rights are unaffected.

8. Production and Dispatch

Some products may be printed or prepared after an order is placed.

Any production or dispatch times displayed on our website are estimates unless we expressly agree otherwise.

We will make reasonable efforts to fulfil orders within the stated timeframe and will contact you where a significant delay occurs.

9. Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery information when placing an order.

Please contact us as soon as possible if you notice an error in your delivery address.

Once an order has been dispatched, we may not be able to change its destination.

Further information about delivery is provided in our Shipping Policy.

10. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

Your rights to cancel an order, return products and receive refunds are explained in our Returns & Refund Policy.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights, including your rights in relation to faulty, damaged, misdescribed or otherwise non-conforming goods.

11. Custom and Personalised Products

Products that are made to your specifications or clearly personalised may have different cancellation rights from our standard products.

Where an item qualifies for the personalised or bespoke goods exception under applicable consumer law, change-of-mind cancellation rights may not apply.

This does not affect your rights if the product is faulty, damaged or not as described.

12. Intellectual Property

The content of the Ripley’s Tabletop Forge website, including our branding, logo, photographs, graphics and original written content, may not be reproduced, distributed or commercially used without permission.

Some miniatures available through our store are based on designs created by third-party artists and studios.

Where applicable, these products are produced and sold under appropriate commercial licences or permissions from their respective creators.

Copyright, trademarks and other intellectual property relating to those designs remain the property of their respective owners.

Purchasing a physical miniature from us does not grant the purchaser rights to reproduce, scan, digitally distribute, manufacture or commercially exploit the underlying design.

13. Acceptable Use

You must not use our website:

  • for unlawful or fraudulent purposes;

  • to transmit malicious software or harmful code;

  • to interfere with the operation or security of the website;

  • to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems; or

  • to infringe the intellectual property rights of us or another party.

14. Third-Party Services

Our store is hosted using Shopify and may use third-party services to provide payments, delivery, analytics, reviews and other functionality.

Your use of certain third-party services may also be subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party websites that you choose to visit through external links on our website, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.

15. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from purchases made wholly or mainly for personal use.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our products, services or applicable law.

The version applicable to your purchase will generally be the version in effect when your order was placed.

17. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the applicable laws of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, you will retain any mandatory rights you have under the laws applicable where you live.
